In the forest lived a pair of young squirrels, Jack and Jill. They built their home inside a hole of one of the tree trunks. To store up food for winter, both of them had worked very hard in collecting fruits which were gradually stacking up in their love nest.
Due to the hot weather, the fruits shrank in size. One day Jack on his trip of carrying fruits back to the nest, found that the quantity of the fruits had decreased.
He asked Jill,"We have been working hard in plucking the fruits for the coming winter, but why are you eating so much nowadays?"
Jill answered, "No, I never eat the fruits."
"The fruits obviously have reduced. Why don't you admit it?", unhappily Jack said.
Jill with her trembling voice said,"I .....never.....eat any."
Jack was so angry, he picked up the fruits and threw at his partner. He shouted,"Eat! Eat to your heart's content!"
Seeing this, Jill was very frightened, sad and helpless. She finally left the tree trunk home.
After a few days, there was a heavy downpour. The dried fruits on absorbing the rainwater became succulent. Now the tree trunk was full of fruits again. Jack realised that he had wrongly blamed his lover. But it was too late as Jill had left him.

There are 4 things that you can't recover :-
ReplyDelete1) The Stone...after the throw
2) The Word...after it's said
3) The Occasion...after the loss
4) The Time...after it's gone!
